Just found a War hammer that has been blessed by the gods. Redundant?

It might have some property like ESP or see invis.

if you want to know what special properties it has, you need to identify it (if you haven't already), then simply 'I'nspect it.

I did identify it. That is my point. It is a warhammer. It's ability is that it has been blessed by the gods. In other words, priests can use it. But, they can already use warhammers.

Can't gods bless whatever things they like? Blessed Warhammers seem like nice flavour...

It is good flavor, but maybe it should come with some benefit as well, such as light +1 or small bonus vs. undead or something.

At least in Ey blessed weapons score critical hits more often. Maybe in V too.

@takkaria: I'm all for flavour, but I think it would confuse people if some affixes actually made a difference and others didn't. Obviously the problem will go away if BLESSED is reimplemented around critical hits, but while it's just avoiding the pointy penalty it seems a bit of a con to put it on blunt weapons ...
