Using the in-game help (?), I managed to inscribe an object with @T - which is not that easy, using my French 'AZERTY' keyboard.

But now I cannot find which command to use to call it up.

Can anyone help.

'}' to inscribe, or just use the inventory interface. I'm not sure what @T does. More usually, @m1 for book one, or @z1;!! for a wand.

I put that same '@T' on a shovel and on my weapon to be able to swap them using 'w' (wield) and then @T, but something doesn't work

I think swap is @x not @T.

Well, should I then change the inscriptions with @x and when wanting to change the weapon for the shovel and vice-versa, just type 'w@x'?

The "weapon swap" is just a macro that types "w0".

So if you have an item inscribed @w0 in your inventory, then it will be wielded when you press x. (Unless you remap x to something else entirely...)
If equipping that item removes another item that is also inscribed @w0, then hitting x will wield that new item in turn, thus removing the first item again, and bringing the situation back to the starting point.

Here is a very brief description of some common inscriptions:

The swap thingy has already been mentioned.
You could also inscribe your main weapon with @w1 and your secondary weapon (e. g. a digger or such) with @w2 and then with typing w1 your character would wield weapon 1, with w2 they would wield weapon 2.

There's also an inscription to prevent attacks. I think it's !-, but I'm not positive. Whatever it is, it's a good idea to append it to @w0 on your shovel. I also like to inscribe teleport scrolls and staffs, (also *destruction* and the like)with !*, which prevents accidental use.

I like these safety strokes. Thank you for the help.

I can now swap items with w0. Works fine.

In the above link there is another very useful inscription when using the shovel:
which prevents moving or running when it is wielded.

Only I do not succeed in reproducing the '^' in angband. That is, working on MacBook with both French and US keyboards

Try using '!' instead.
