r1612 bug : auto ID average weapons on pickup with same item in inventory
 
The title says it all;

for example, if i have a fully ID'd Dagger (+0;+0) in my backpack and pick up an unID'd dagger from the floor, it will automatically stack with the previous one if it's also average.

Isn't that the way it has been for a while? Works with items with charges too.

So we have occasionally free immediate id of average weapons? That's ok with me, since it's pretty situational, it just seemed a bit inconsistent (ie if you don't have the same item in inventory you still have to wield and wait for pseudo or attack a monster). It can't really be compared with wands/staves since in that case you have the item flavour mechanic, and the only "free" id you get is relative to the charges, not object type.

Btw, props also for changing permanent rock colour, before it was a huge annoyance, especially in greater vaults, after i used destruction

An unnecessary justification could be that it's easier to tell that something is average if you've got two identical copies of it.
