I don't have a strong opinion on this, I'll just give 2 comments:

It's very unclear why teleport is failing, even after the fail message.
It's hard to spot the difference between gauntlet levels...

breaking would be "breaks". Sil only allows 1 item per a tile, my guess is there was too much floor junk for it to find a free square

Poscheng derivitives have auto-get which I miss when playing characters with a shooter. Also fast travel to stairs and loot which I don't use but others seem to like.

I think trap immunity giving trap immunity is clearer and simpler then,
trap immunity is only trap immunity for some traps.

"Dump Witness" is a pretty stupid quest. Either you die because you don't know it or shoot a bunch of immobile stuff for free xp and then collect the loot. Most of the other quests are better.

Level sizes are not hard to change if you can self compile. Smaller levels do add some complications about what to do with detect/teleport ranges, staircase placement, and a few other things.
