You'll need the old object & monster files too for that, otherwise monsters will drop either useless or non-existent books.

Edit: store as well. It's not too hard but trickier then you'd expect...

It means divide the no. of charges by no. of wands for the calculation. 2 wands, 1 charge = 0 charges, 2 wands, 2 charges = 1 charge etc. It's identical to dropping all but 1 wand on the ground...

Yeah so if it doesn't care about terrain or doing any down the corridor then dig trickery. I think what I'm more interested in is simpler. Dig but only if path blocked by other monsters.

Is it that hard? Just looking the number it's reading is distance & stealth right? It's capable of working out the distance if I'm reading it right. It doesn't it just moves to the next sound level...

I'd say risky with only 2 (as 1 could go to electric breathe) & riskier to let go below 3 charges. It's really a matter of opinion. I think the dungeon has more devices then I have pack space.

Played the last version. It took me a while to work out both the library and the home. Also worth noting V no longer has sticky curse. Basically a lot that is less then obvious.
