Angband is extremely *addicting*.
No matter how awesome characters of mine die, and no matter how they die, I do always try again. Probably because I know that some char, some day, will be much better.

While not really V, I just want to keep everything in one topic:
My first "real" NPP-Mage (sig), rocket start thanks to quests, even one artifact! I'm also playing on Randarts for the first time. And I've screwed up one quest (Creeping Coin Fortress - it was just a test, anyways) because I accidentally teleported. Almost died there...

She's still alive and lvl 29, that means close to Banishment.
The spells in NPP are so much more powerful....

Started seriously playing Angband again.
Even though I told myself not to do so. http://angband.oook.cz/ladder-show.php?id=8325&ok AWESOMEFUSAEGASJGASLKJRGLKASJREAJSFDKSJ")/$=%!("UHS! doesn't even nearly explain my feeling after four great finds in rapid succession.

My best character so far, ever. I wear the +6 Int ring to reach a 0% failure rate on Teleport Level (which is the ultimate escape, really). I currently prefer Hithlomir over Belegennon; while the latter has Poison resist and would free up one ring slot for me, the former covers dark and nether, which I cannot cover any other way so far (and the latter one is REALLY important, I learned). My speed is LAUGHABLY low, but I'm hoping to find some stuff soon. After all, I managed to avoid euthanazing myself with stupidity so far. I cannot decide between an "of the Dwarves +3 and an "of Weaponmastery +3; any pointers? (regarding any other possible better equipment choices as well, of course)

I'm currently considering fighting the Tarrasque. What is the damage limit for unresisted Disenchantment Breath?
This is my character: http://angband.oook.cz/ladder-show.php?id=13086 [Edit] Found a weapon with rDisenchant. The Tarrasque is DOWN! ![]() Three uniques plus Morgy left.

My greatest strength this time around was ACTUALLY USING WHAT I HAD AT MY DISPOSAL.
This particular character would be dead by dlvl 3 if not for her awesome Oil Flask throwing skills (for fending off Maggot's Dogs). Then, when I had better tools available (no-fail TO, for example), I used them. When I had reliable banishment, I ransacked vaults. Basically, braver play all-around, but with maintained (or even improved) cautiousness. On the other hand, I spent a lot of time pursuing useless goals (running up fifty dungeon levels to find and kill Vargo... lulz), and inexperience. I reached endgame twice before in my life, Morgoth NEVER.
