The Fury is certainly active on ToME forums (forum.t-o-m-e.net).

Furyband, heh. ToME 2 plus a few hacks for people who wanted a few minor extensions to the engine without waiting for T-Engine 3.

Which actually brings me to a question: Is ToME 3 going to be considered applicable to this site, and if so, what about other modules written for the T-Engine 3?

I think T.o.M.E. 3 will still be a prominent angband variant, unless you manage to rip all and every traditional angband features out of it

I'd put FuryBand down as my attempt to figure out C a bit better. I never really intended for it to be played much, but apparently, it's doing ok.

I'll release an update eventually, but at the moment, I really don't have the time.

Well we've ripped an awful lot out of it and reimplemented things. I think depending on who you ask ToME is long since gone from Angband, heh.

Well congratulations, given that you even got some module development going on it, heh.

Since no one have yet added Posband to the variants page, here's my try to collect the relevant information:

-----

Posband

"a rogue-like designed to give the player the opportunity to play as a number of "monster races", each capable of evolving as they levelled up, thus gaining new powers and skills. The equipment capabilities each race had was also determined by monster (let's face it, a Quythulg is unlikely to dual-weild maces of disruption, and a spider has plenty of feet to fit footwear onto), which has added a myriad of balancing issues, all designed to add extra flavour to an already interesting game." -Posband homepage

Maintainers: Avenger, and Graham Philips

Homepage: http://posband.psd-solutions.com/

Current release

Posband 0.9.9 Alpha 1
October 17, 2005

Source: http://posband.psd-solutions.com/dow....9.9a1-src.zip
Windows: http://posband.psd-solutions.com/dow...nd-0.9.9a1.zip

----

Could you add it to the variant list, please?

Done. Please check if I've made any grave errors.

Not a grave error, but it might be worth mentioning the possessor class that can possess any corpse - especially given that that's where the variant name comes from.
