You would have had a device penalty from hasty which makes it a little worse. I can't remember how Klackons ar device skillwise but for big bruisers with +device look at ent & half-titan. There's also classes like paladin/weaponsmith/rogue which are also good at melee and have a better device skill. Otherwise equipment or working round bad device skill are all you can do.

Not quiet sure where to report bugs, but I was playing as a Half-Giant Beserker and when I was fighting the Star Vampire in the vampire quest, I got:

"You feel stupid for a moment, but the feeling passes, You feel stupid for a moment, but the feeling passes, You feel stupid for a moment, but the feeling passes, You feel stupid for a moment, but the feeling passes, You feel stupid for a moment, but the feeling passes, You feel stupid for a moment, but the feeling passes, You feel stupid for a moment, but the feeling passes, more-"

and then my game crashed. My savefile is now 512 MB and crashes every time you load it. I don't know what other information to give, if you need any just ask.

Thanks, the basic description and the fact it was a Star Vampire was enough for me to figure out what happened (it's the brother of a bug floatRand reported earlier; the context and the code are different, which is why I didn't catch it then, but the bug itself is the same). Very sorry to say that your savefile sounds irreparably lost.

Hmm. I know the old model of angband is to save on crash. But I think the new model to save on new level is better. Save on interrupt is OK, but not crash

I find weapon with ego "Wild Weapon". What does it mean?

Wild weapons have only one die, but lots of sides (so a weapon that's normally 3d8 will be 1d24 if it's wild). Wild weapons also give you random temporary buffs when you hit monsters; some of these can be very good and hard to acquire otherwise, like vengeance or invulnerability.

Closed the game as I have hundreds of times before by closing the Main, Term 0, window. This last time I did that, when I relaunched the game it opened Term 1, 2, and 3 like normal, but Term 0 is gone.
Tried force quitting, rebooting. Next I will try reinstalling over the old folder.

Any clue how I get the game working normally?

Does your frogcomposband.ini look normal, especially with regard to Term-0?
