YACD - It's raining artifacts

My Warrior has reached 3800' and have yet again run into the old problem of too many good items and not enough space. I have searched the forum and sold some items that I thought were useless to me. Most of the items that I have held on to are items that I either couldn't find any advice on in the forum, or items that are described as end-game quality. I need some help identifying which items to sell so that my inventory doesn't fill up and ruin my auto-pickup/auto-squelch system. TIA

With the level and gear you have, seeling things in town shouldn't be nessasary anymore, at your point in the game, I would squelch anything non splendid or lower, just to keep it interesting. That should clean up a lot of junk. Where your at now, you should mainly be only concerned with more artifact items, healing potions, escape scrolls, rods of detection etc. Once I get to a sufficient level, and deep enough down in the dungeon I mainly start ignoring most of what I have already identified, and worry only about those mentioned above.

As far as what artifacts do, look in the spoiler files here on the forum, has a lot of useful information.

I am not concerned with selling junk, I just leave it in the dungeon. My problem is that I get so many artifacts and splendid items that I run out of space. Most of the splendid items, and some of the artifacts, I just leave in the dungeon, but I have never reached this level before and I could use some help deciding which artifacts (and splendid items) to hold on to and which I could junk. I am collecting potions and scrolls, but it is a little ineffecient because I'm carrying around several artifacts that I don't have room for in the home.

To use a term from authors, you've reached a RAFO (read and find out) point. What will your end game kit look like? Try different combinations of gear and see what resists you are missing. Ideally you will have everything covered and important stats sustained. Bronze DSM of permanence is a pretty nice piece of equipment. Ringil + feanor an you're already above the 20 speed minimum (30 with !speed) for Morgoth.

You've found way more artifacts than are necessary, so if you don't think you will ever use it, get rid of it. e.g. phial rilia gorlim

He's asking a valid question. I don't know how anyone would know to keep Pauraegen and toss Paurnimmen.

Keep the Palantir, and one other light depending on which activation you want.

It is good to carry swaps for immunities, but when you have 2 of the same [Eol and Azaghal] you should usually use the non-weapon swap so toss Azaghal.

Evenstar is not interesting. Don't prioritize nether resistance.

Thalkettoth is mainly interesting for speed in speed-challenged games, but with Feanor you don't care.

Gorlim may appear to be something you might someday want to use, but you never will, and that counts future games.

If you do your damage via melee [as opposed to spells, archery, and devices] then you should not save weapons for resistances unless you cannot cover those resistances any other way. You have outgrown Rilia.

Toward end game, resistance to poison, nether, nexus, shards, confusion, disenchant, and keep life force are some of the biggest for me.

Anything that boosts your speed is great.

If you can combine different pieces of armor that actually give you immunities is great also.

There are a lot of info in the forums, as to what type of monsters and resistances you will need as you go down.

If you can get the basic resistances, fire, lightning, cold, acid, and the above mentioned resistances covered you should be in good shape.

You can learn alot by searching the angband ladder, and reading other players end game kit.
