How often do you keep playing after killing Morgoth and explore past dl100?

How often do you explore past dl100 after killing Morgoth?

This poll applies to V and any single dungeon variants. In DJA, there are about 10-15 monsters native to levels past 100, and a few of them have the FORCE_DEPTH flag.

EDIT: Having never killed Morgoth myself, I should've made this poll, "If you killed Morgoth as often as Cave Man, Powerdiver or Psi, how often would you explore past dl100?" ..or something like that..

Sigh... never scored a kill...
But I don't think I would play too long afterwards. Time to choose a new class, start a new character.

I said rarely, but a more exact answer would be only once. I came to the conclusion that there was no point.

However, after DJA comp character I read through the monster edit list, (i really really enjoy reading lists of stuff like that) and thought some of the monsters down there were pretty neat. I'm also glad they didn't show up on dlevel 99.

So there is a point to going deeper in DJA and I think it's a good idea. There could also be some artifacts down there that are incredibly powerful but can't show up before dlevel 101.

I've killed Morgoth a number of times, but don't really see the attraction in pushing past dlvl 100. What I have done on several occasions after slaying Morgoth is to kill off the other uniques that were summoned during the battle, particularly if that would account for all of them; it feels more complete that way.

I'm with bron on this-I've never gone past 5000', but I have cleaned up some uniques tha M summoned.

What I see as the benefit to 100<ML<=105 monsters is that M has a good chance of summoning them, and you have a terrible chance to kill them first.

There was a recent thread about scumming for artifacts after the win, I believe the OP wanted to find The One Ring which he had never seen before. I think after my next win (if I live that long) I'll do that and try to find Bladeturner and Feanor.

My mindset is to keep diving until I die or reach a point where all I'm doing is farming for XP.

I went a few levels deeper once I killed M and the uniques he summoned. I couldn't find other uniques. Maybe I didn't go deep enough. I was hoping to attain the one ring, but never found it. The game became a little tiresome after that.

Yeah, that was me.

I go past Morgoth for a while, just fooling around with Grond and the Crown. It usually gets boring pretty fast. I've only been to level 127 the time I was hunting for the One Ring.
