can't use @a1 inscription/macro

This is strange. 3.1.2v2 on windows. inscribed wands with @a1 and didn't work. a1 did not trigger either of them. works fine for @a2.

also, why is f (fire ammo) looking in Equipment by default, not Inventory? I can't get inscriptions to work with ammo.

Dunno about the wands thing, but firing looks in equipment first because of the quiver. You can wield ammo to it to enable ammo to use up less inventory space (1 slot per 99 ammo instead of 1 slot per unique stack).

Usually when I can't get an inscription to work, it means I accidentally inscribed something else. E.g. if you have a spellbook inscribed @a1, that will be used instead of the wand, and it won't work.

I checked for that and that's not the case. New game, not much else inscribed.
