I've been on an Angband kick recently (since 3.5 came out), but I'll go for a better part of a year without playing, and when I do I'm often just playing in short sessions. In the latest tries I can usually get to >2000 feet when monsters with exotic attacks start to show up and I wouldn't always know to watch out. I'm playing with monster info on now so we'll see if I remember to actually use it when I need to.
Sometimes I press my luck too much. Also, I think I just enjoy the process of playing the game as much as necessarily beating it so I don't get too invested in any characters. |

I really like 3.5. It's more streamlined and more interesting at the same time. I'm also playing no-selling and I've gotten used to that pretty quickly.

24 here. I'll take this brief moment to laugh at my elders as though I will never be in their position.
*Ahem* "Ahahahaha! HA! AHAHAHA! HAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" It breaths time. You die. AUGH! No rTime in this variant! I take it back! I take it baaaack! |

I will be 30 in a few months, and when I was 14 read about Angband on a Tolkien website, but never could find it. Then I got a shareware disk with Moria and the rest is history. I played Moria for less than a year (save wouldn't ever work) and then I found Thangorodrim (website).

Goddammit, I feel like a little babby now. 21, played Angband for the first time in 2006 (holy shit that's almost ten years ago). Have been programming (hobby) for about a year longer than that, though by now I've worked a bit sorta professionally, too, and it's probably what I'll end up doing.
