I've estimated that the rest of the creatures/npc/monsters should take me less than 2 weeks to finish painting, at the rate I'm painting them now...then there's the list of items/objects/weapons/armor/etc

I admire your perseverance. It must have been almost overwhelming to start, knowing there were over a thousand monsters and objects to paint. You must be well over halfway by now. Thanks to the efforts of Blubaron and d_m, we now have some support for using 64x64 tiles, so we're all looking forward to testing them. I predict they will mean great advances is the tile-handling code!

It's gonna be really cool seeing/detecting these very dark monsters in the depths of unexplored dungeon. Just a pair of red eyes burning through the darkness.

Trying to stay as true to most of the monsters descriptions as possible, it they turn out too difficult to spot, they'll have to be altered

It's a huge task and I wouldn't have done it if I didn't love the game. Really looking forward to getting full png support (also hopefully tall tiles in the end)

Ok, I swear, this junk is the last batch of tiles I'll be posting tonight. Painting tiles is a bit like eating Pringles..

Shockbolt,
I only take the time to post on these threads ever few years or so, but I wanted to deliver this message:
You are talented and doing great work here. I am very excited to play Anband with the new tiles. I know it is taking you a lot of time, but it also must be fun for you because the work you are doing is AWESOME. Keep up the fantastic work, and i'll be looking for hours and hours of fun when you are done.

One minor quibble... I think the picture of Morgoth should be the most fear inspiring and demonic of them all. Could you tone it up a little?

Thanks so much for your time,
Fred from Kansas

Oh, I forgot to add...
About Morgoth, should his helm have the two remaining silmarils in it? Three?
