I like the idea of ambient sound for the game, rather than sound effects. (In fact I play with sound off.) But itd be a major undertaking.

In 'real-time' sound give you additional information, so it's critical to hear it. There should be 3 parallel stream - sound, music and ambient (also one more - ambient for shops; such kind of ambient already in TomeNET, it sounds cool)
