Sméagol?

I finaly bashed Sméagol's brains in after struggling with him on every floor between 5 and 9. Will he come back or is he dead for good? Please say he will never ever be seen again

Look in your monster memory under uniques. If it says ' you have slain this foe' then he is dead forever.
And yea he is the most annoying of the uniques, isn't he.

I think we need Smeagol's Ghost. Can only appear when you:

a) have killed Smeagol
b) are wearing, OR have in inventory, the One Ring

Can't be killed. Can't hurt you...or does such minimal damage as to amount to the same thing. Its 'attack' is to try to grab the Ring with its insubstantial hands as he wails, "We needs it, we needs it!!!"

Say it does one damage. Then a new challenge game could be to get killed by Smeagol's ghost.
