can I bind macro to shift+numpad keys?

I'd like to bind macros that do a map looks (L) to shift + numpad direction keys. Can I do that?

i.e. I'd like to hit Shift-Numpad6 to shift my view right once.

also, unrelated, I love how the numpad + key is bound to some context-sensitive operations, like open a door, dig, etc. but why is it not bound to open a chest?

You can macro pretty much anything so can't see why not.

As for that other thing, don't know but maybe because chests are not terrains and the + is a "manipulate terrain" thingy? No idea but sounds like it.

shift-numpad number is same as run that direction IE. there probably already is a keymap for it. You can do that but it then overwrites that command.

Try something else, like alt- or ctrl-numpad instead.

I tried these in the keymap menu but it didn't seem to override anything. Also, the shift-to-run only seemed to be tied to the arrow keys, not numpad keys (possibly I overwrote them and broke that association with numpad keys while trying to remap them).

Long story short, I haven't gotten it to work to do the map thing.
