NPP questions

1) I died to a quest monster. clicked through all the end game save dialogs, quit. I go to start up the save again, expecting to start with a new character at CL1, but instead I'm in town, quest still active.

Dialog is
Code:
 
You Die.
You feel very good.
You no longer feel heroic
Of potential relevance, I opened wizard mode once on this char just to map the level because two of my quest monsters on the previous quest were behind a secret door that I just couldn't find after multiple loops around the dungeon.

2) Brigand Poison Shot- what is this? Is it something I have to activate or does it passively occur?

1) Yes, dead wizard mode characters will be come back in town. You have to quit them.

2) It is a trait of the Brigand class. You just need to be using a sling and firing sling ammo. Also look into throwing well balanced weapons. You get a massive damage increase. A rogue or brigand can dominate below 1000' with a couple of the 'thancs artifact daggers.

Enchant Weapon service in the store only works on melee and ammo, but not launchers?

What are the line-of-sight rules in NPP? Hockey sticks seem to be out.

I haven't tried this yet, but is no-sell calibrated to give more gold drops as it has in the more recent V versions?

Suggestion: Something that's almost driven me back to V from my experimentation in NPP- guarantee ?Phase and ?Recall. No fun not to have those.

It uses Leon marrick's 4GAI line of sight code, which is a little different than Angband. Yes, the hockey stick spellcasting is gone.

yes, same multiplier as Vanilla. The gold drops are 5x, I think?

I was playing and could not get ?recall either, and was equally annoyed. It will be back soon.
