Z+Angband - Yellow square around @

Just fired up Z+Angband and noticed this annoying yellow square around @. When I bring up the options menu with = though the square disappears. Is there a way to remove it permanently?

From a quick look at the code at https://github.com/blubaron/z-angband , it looks like the "hilite_player" option is on by default. That would always put the cursor on @. The help says that option is in the display section of the options that you can get to with '='.

THANK YOU I got a really excited to try it, but because of the way my brain is I honestly wouldn't have been able to continue with that yellow square there the whole time, =p

I discovered that option in Tome2, where you really need it.
If you put on a ring of invisibility without Infra or SInv, then the @ disappeared. So without the yellow box you wouldn't know where you were
