Yet another high elf mage assorted questions

Been wondering around aimelessly in the dungeon for the past 100K turns, not sure exactly of what to do, so here I am asking for a wee bit of help. Dump file pasted at the end.

- Can you suggest a better kit from what I have? There is some nice stuff stashed at home: the +6 int ring that would bring to the 0% fail rate for most spells, the +5 speed together with Talkettoth would give me +11 speed unhasted, etc. But any of these choices always drops some resistance, or gets me even lower in my already low hps...

- I must clear the house to make room for new stuff, so what can I positively sell without the ever "what if I end up needing this?" worry. As you can see I am a pack rat. Pity the house has so few slots...

- I find that I am struggling to damage the nasties. If they are alone, I usually Shock Wave to daze them -- especially helpfull against summoners -- then wack them with what I got. I finished Mim (melee'd him actually, had rDisenchant...), Lorgan and the Queen ant this way. But I am wary of going against the likes of Kavlax, Gorlim and the Medusa. The spell rift seems nice, but it still has a too high fail rate so I have not experimented with it.

- How far can I dive? I'm currently at 45 and not particularly confident of going deeper with so few hps.

Have you considered using 'Aeglos' that you have stashed in your home? When I killed Kavlax two nights ago with my HE mage I found my spells at that point to be underpowered in comparison to how hard I could hit with Ringil... Aeglos is almost a carbon copy of 'Ringil' in spear form as far as I can figure.
It's funny that a Mage should behave so much like a Warrior in the lower dungeon lvls, but the difference is that you can always create our buffs on the fly whereas a warrior can't...
Buy some more arrows from the shops and enchant them for frost arrows, boost them to roughly (+8,+8) and save those for Uniques, these should be more powerful than your bolt spells. You can find stronger than this in the dungeon...

Anyways, that's my two cents on the issue... if anyone else who has more experience at these depths has any advice (even if it refutes my own) it's welcome...
