Another HE Mage Thread

Before this character, the deepest I had got was to Level 46 with a Dunadan Warrior. Now I find myself very deep, and only recently have the +speed items started turning up. I'm fairly sure that I'm not ready for Sauron yet, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice on my equipment?

I like the cloak of the Magi and the armour I'm currently carrying, but thought the +6 to speed from the artifacts I'm wearing, as well as the rNexus, was more important this deep? Also, loosing the Int bonus from the items I'm carrying has brought my minimum fail up to 1% again.

Any advice is greatfully received!

You don't need speed+22 if you have the haste spell. Once you can get to speed+10, the next priority is 0% fail on your spells.

And you need to put Caspanion back on. At the depth you're at running around without R_CONF and R_POIS is just begging for instadeath.

You are wasting your amulet slot. Wear "Dwarves or "Carlammas when you get it. Or wear "ESP, and use a Crown of Might when you find one. (That will give you the important sustains as well.)
