I have 2 monitors, so I put the game on one, then information screens on the other. If I want to know something I don't have to remember which button to press, it's just there.

I don't. It's just quicker to glance across then use the look command if I want to check something.

Interesting results so far!
Inven/equip and recall subwindows are surprisingly popular.
Only one player reported usage of Angband's terrible minimap ("Display overhead view"). No one seems to use the other kind of minimap ("Display map view"). Is that because of the flaws in current implementation, or are minimaps just not that useful when playing Angband? I thinks the former is more likely! But we we'll see...
Shockingly, at least one person does use "Display player (basic)" and "Display player (extra)". Some people just have too many monitors, I guess!
Apparently, players don't use "Display player (compact)". No wonder - it's the same thing as the sidebar! Likewise, "Display status" is not used much - probably because it never displays anything at all?
All in all, good food for thought here!

I remember trying one of the map views and finding it to be annoying and useless or something like that, and turning it straight back off. I think I'd be open to a better version in the future.

... and I would use monster recall and maybe minimap if there were enough subwindows.
Exactly what I use (with optional object/monster info).

I used to use them years ago, but then I realized that I could get a better effect by just dedicating more space to the main window. If we had a minimap that was not locked to ASCII then it could conceivably be more useful.
