Competition 189 is up. It's a Vanilla elf with Deathwreaker... and a couple of other things.

Idle comment. As someone who is not sure what vanilla angband version , test fork etc. I'm currently running, I've clicked about every tab on the forum including news without getting to a quick & easy link to the latest official version. I mean yeah, I'll find it in a minute, but it shouldn't actually be this hard.

Just bought boots of speed (+6) in the black market for GP 21,000 for the competition character. That is way undervalued. So far I've found 2 Dwarvenkind Green DSM, +2 CON. (Retired the one with only +1 STR.) I found balance DSM of stealth, which is a really silly modifier on high DSM. (Even Craftsmanship would be better, as high DSM is heavy.)

The Craft realm kind of sucks in the early game for Monks.

I don't know if it's just me, but this Compo character's decent stealth doesn't seem to help at all even in the dungeon.
