How long for posts to be processed

I am very new on the forum, having only posted on two threads so far, both last night. One was up within a few hours, while the other hasn't appeared yet. I suspect that there was some kind of glitch in uploading it, but I don't know for certain, as the note telling me that the post will not be visible until it has been cleared by the administrators gives me no clear idea of how long that usually takes.

So, how long does it usually take for a post to be processed? May I safely assume after twenty hours that there was an accident and my computer did not send it?

OK, the short answer is "until one of the mods notices it", which you have now ensured has happened

Sometimes the forum software automatically requests moderation for a post (usually for a first post from a user which contains a link); problem is that the moderators can read it anyway, and sometimes don't notice no-one else can. I left one for 6 months once...

I'll see if there's some way to have the mods get auto-emailed or something.
