1599 bug: ring preidentified as bad

Don't know if this has already been mentioned, but I just came across a Rhodonite Ring {squelch} lying on the dungeon floor. Pretty amazing how my priest knows it's bad before even picking it up.

I assume this has something to do with me previously choosing "y" to the [extremely annoying, constantly popping up] option "Ignore all X that are bad in the future?".

You're probably right about the bug, but would you double-check through the squelch menus whether you are squelching all rhodonite rings?

Some nightlies in the past had some items pre-squelched. Have you tried the newer versions?

It turned out to be a Ring of Damage (+0,-8) and no, I don't have any rings set to squelch based on flavor.

Haven't tried any of the newer nightlies, no. I downloaded 3.1.1.1626 beta from rephial.org to look at the changelog before starting this topic, but at a quick glance it appeared to be the same as 1599.

They haven't updated the changelog in several iterations, but there are changes being made.
