Memorable in-game messages

Just echoed in Unangband:
"Tom, the Stone Troll chews on a set of Tom, the Stone Troll's teeth."

And I thought it was cool to get "killed by open floor." This is WAY better.

Others are invited to one-up me with game quotes of their own.

(I know this isn't strictly an AAR, but I don't see a better place to put it)

In my ToME scores list, I have an Ent Alchemist 'killed by Orc Cave on dungeon level 15'

Punishment for playing a munchking character, I suppose...

I had a slapstick moment recently with my High-Elf Ranger in V.

You found a trap! You are blind!
It touches you.
You found a trap! You fell through a trapdoor!

is still my favourite, although

The Vampire lord points at you, screaming the word DIE!
You die.

is pretty good, too.

Just rolled a new mage, went into to the dungeon took one step and got you find a trap, you are enveloped in flames, you die. lol

I like the message that sometimes comes up when selling un-ID'd potions early on in the game (V, probably others). This likely won't be an exact quote, but you'll get the idea:

You sell a potion of Resist Heat for 9 gold. Cool!
