Fun with Anydice
I'm guessing most people here have heard of anydice before, but if you haven't it's super fun! I had a pseudo-sil-combat simulator up and running in like 2 mins:

This would be really useful if I could figure out how to work it :P
I'm working on a board game and I can't seem to figure out how to get the kind of odds I want. I'm trying to count the number of dice over another roll and it won't let me use dice in conditionals. |

Cute, but minor error in that if you whiff the attack, the algorithm still continues to calculate damage as if it was a normal hit.

two questions:
does anyone know how to effectively input a non-integer weapon weight (currently it rounds down)? i made a riposte function. but it has the old problem of calculating a miss as a hit. more specifically, the new function result replaces the old one. how do i get the functions to have different results? edit: just noticed that both hits are calculated using the same rolls. i can fix that but it won't be very clean. edit2: okay i think i fixed it. edit3: so i chatted with the creator. non-integer variables don't work. so during a recent run i was wondering if i should take poison resistance. i plugged in the stats for a were-wolf attack against my current set-up:
with poison resistance without poison resistance cuts the average damage to almost a quarter. and the damage dice only get bigger from there. |

what would be cool would be to compare 2 graphs. How does 3d4 compare with 2d6 for example.
