Ninja skulls tend to hang out in graveyards, but they're really stealthy so it's easy to miss them. :-)

The main problem with ID is the ridiculous number of curses. Some of them are actively dangerous to test-use, so you end up needing too much ID if you're playing warrior.

That said, Armor of Resistance is trivially easy to test by use.

in practice what winds up happening is that you use most of the ID you find on stuff like slay troll and curses.

lots of items with curses are obviously cursed and have many curses on them - they're good for something, donating to the store.
