Uniques?
How many uniques are there, total? 100?
I think I've only ever discovered 96 or 97... I wonder who I'm missing. In my current game, my goal is (in addition to winning of course) to kill all the uniques first, *except* for Farmer Maggot, Grip, and Fang. The dogs get to live, hopefully. I always feel bad for him if I kill his dogs.

My monster viewer still works. Runs in the browser. Upload the monster_base.txt and monster.txt from your lib/gamedata folder and then view. Uniques on top and monsters below. Click for details. (Hmm, hints on hover seems to be off, nm)

I haven't looked at the code, but I believe that the date is only checked at the time when you actually invoke the executable to start the game. IIRC, I've started games on the appropriate day and then left that game running for several days and continued to see Father Christmas and his elves flitting around the Town until I restarted the game. |
