Complete list of Uniques

Hello,
Im playing Angband version 4.1.2, and am excitedly getting close to beating the game. Im a bit of a "completionist" when it comes to games like this, and I would like to knock off all of the uniques. I am currently consulting an 18 year old list from Thangorodrim.net, but for whatever reason, Im unable to encounter Uriel, Angel of Fire on 61, Azriel, Angel of Death on 62, and Gabriel the Messanger on Level 64.

My question is, do these 3 uniques exist in the most current version of the game? Also, is the list Im consulting still current, and if not, is there a different place I can find the most current list.

Thanks for any assistance!
John

The angels in particular are replaced with Maiar: ulmo, radagast, and ariel. The knowledgs menu (~ command) should list them, assuming you have detected them all, or have hacked the lore file.

Gabriel = Radagast ?

I know Uriel is now Arien, and i would assume Azriel = Ulmo, as Azriel is the angel of "death" and Ulmo breathes nether; nether = death so it should follow that Ulmo used to be Azriel.
It never seemed appropriate to me that a Maiar of water should breathe nether; maybe sound, or lightning.

Also something tells me that Gabriel suffered a nerf in becoming Radagast. Rada is pathetic for a Wizard, his summons are ridiculous.
(Not sure why he is even a hostile mob anyway)

Ungoliant's summons are a complete joke too, but that's not the point though. But they are.
@Nick add some stronger spiders for Ungoliant to summon pls. And restore the ringwraits' ability to summon their buddies.

@jbissell

Be careful if you meet The Terrasque. That monster is nearly as powerful as Morgoth, and you really, really need fire immunity to kill him.

Those answers are correct, except it's Osse not Ulmo.

@Sky - there will be significant changes to the monster list, probably including the two you mention.

I have thought for some time that Osse (not Ulmo) should be renamed Mandanos.

Over in variant land we have nifty jumping spiders who basically cast a centred on self ball spell and then phase away in a single move, they are horrible creatures who must be destroyed lest they spread to the vanilla dungeon.

The "because" is Tolkien's fault.

Ungoliant is an enormous evil spirit of pure darkness (the un-light), strong enough to beat the crap out of Melkor and assorted balrogs,and her BIGGEST MEANEST offspring is Shelob who is like a itsy bitsy thing barely large enough to kill a hobbit.

I would want to see summons from Ungoliant on par with Glaurung - sonething that can easily hit a CL50. And screw Tolkien.

Oh and as for the ringwraiths,

Most nazgul are fairly easy to kill. Not the mouth, but the others, i see them as free xp bags and drops.

But they had this horrid habit of immediately summoning every other nazgul, which means 1 nazgul is actually 5 nazgul.

As they are generally found around DL40, they are the first wave of big uniques after the orcs, like Azog, Grishnak, and Mim, etc.
That summon ability is the only thing which changes them from mobs you chase (pump bless, !haste, berserk) to mobs you avoid. Bringing it back would make those levels more interesting.

Also as a long time scummer i can tell you that DL45 already drops endgame gear, so that's the perfect spot to make the game harder.

The only ringwraith that has historically (in-game, not in-lore) been able to summon ringwraiths is the Witch-King of Angmar. All the others have never been able to summon their pals, except maybe by getting lucky with the results from a standard "summon undead" spell. I'm afraid your memory is playing tricks on you.

Also, the Mouth of Sauron isn't a ringwraith. He's just a dude that acts as Sauron's PA system.

No summon even in 3.0.6 ?

... I got this memory of hating the nazguls because they would multiply beyond any hope of victory.

Maybe Summon Ubdead worked differently back then ?
