Window post-4.2.4 builds
The most recent post-4.2.4 pre-releases for Windows ( https://github.com/angband/angband/r...e7c72a-win.zip is the latest of those) were compiled differently (Mingw 8.0.0-1 running on Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS rather than Mingw 5.0.3-1 running on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS) than what's been used for the past year and a half.
I'd be interested in hearing if there are problems running the Windows executable from that recent pre-release on whatever versions of Windows you have handy. The last time a Mingw cross-compiler later than 5.0.3-1 was used, there was at least one report (for a FAangband 2 beta running on Windows 8.1) of the executable bailing out at startup with the message "The procedure entry point "..." was not found in the DLL "<path to executable here>". |
