Edain builds

I only won once with an Edain, with a rather lopsided stealthy build (1/4/0/3). Other than that I had some success with 2/3/3/0 and 3/2/3/1 (both House of Hador) for fighters, but never even came close to winning. I hate low perception and will, however. Triggering all traps, having to bash open closed doors etc.

Looking at elliptic, he seems to go with 2/2/3/2 fairly regularly and with success. So I settled for this, but I am quite uneasy with the low dexterity that isn't compensated with high strength and charge bonus (as it is when I play low dexterity Naugrim) Is it the equivalent to the Noldor 2/4/4/4 for Edain, available to all houses, very flexible and sufficiently strong? I always thought I need a more "extreme" distribution to succeed, either more strength or more dexterity to produce anything working in the long run.

And despite my comments on violet molds I am not actually comfortable to play fighters without constitution of at least 3, which you can expect to raise to at least 4 with suitable equipment, but which severely limits your choices at the start.

I played a handful of Hadors with 3 2 3 1, going for early charge and flanking. I found it surprisingly tractable, with one fellow making it to the throne room and dying when I forgot to eat rage:

elliptic actually wins though, so you probably want to pay more attention to him

I tried to start a Hador polearm master with 3 2 3 1, but died to sword spiders three times in a row now just after making my glaive. So sad, if I can't kill them, I can usually avoid them, but being almost able to kill is ...

3 2 3 1 is fine, but apparently even 4 2 2 1 works Of course much of the initial strength came from charge and flanking, I am not so sure about survivability as a brawler without the implicit flanking bonus (dodge +3 and free attacks).

Currently I wonder about the House of Beor.

I try to make an archer, but my attempts with 2 3 1 3 tend to fail too early to be very enlightening. Unlike fighters where heavy melee / evasion investment can overcome low stats archers don't even have a bow a start and tend to need a shopping list of abilities and skills early on, before settling on something. While Noldor and Sindarin archers can rely on the first forge, a Beor archer needs to invest some points before being able to conquer even the first forge... Thoughts? Different stats? Different builds? Beor seems to be the hardest of the houses.

Beware, you will make this the next competition...

But did you know there is no single Edain archer win on the ladder (my Haleth singer is the only Edain winner to have at least a few points in archery).

Too easy. I win every time with that build.
