Is 411.3 damage/round enough (with Aglarang)?
Hi, I'm new with Angband and I have only played version 3.3.0. It seems to me that it is quite new feature that "Average damage/round" is automatically calculated (I found more dumpfiles not showing it).
I'm playing with half-troll warrior, character level is 40 (not all stats maxed out) and I have seen artifact weapons and identified them and checked they damage-per-round. My conclusion about highest damage (so far): Ring of damage +8 Ring of damage +10 The Katana Aglarang (6d5) (+11,+10) <+5,+1> 6.5 blows/round Average damage/round: 411.3 Is there way to get even more damage/round? Generally speaking: is this the best way to get high damage (ring of damages+many blows). If I have good set of resistance from armours, do I need something else for my weapon (and rings) than high damage? |

Weapons are for hurting enemy, so that's main thing they provide. Other things that you might want are stats, resists, Free Action and See Invisible. Sometimes those are better than slightly more damaging weapon. |
