Could you give Vampires (player monster race) a shapeshifting satchel like werewolves and beornings? The forms are essentially unusable if they spill your equipment into your inventory and likely on the floor, as two of them are utility/escapes and the other still requires you to switch to normal in order to feed. Also it seems lame that vampires can't wield darkness lamps, straight up not having a light slot.

How can I examine the stats of various bodyparts as an Igor?

You can inspect Igor body parts the same way as normal objects; they also use the same attribute abbreviations as equipment. If you don't see anything like that on a body part, then it has no special attributes, which is fairly common.
Igor body parts are quite unpredictable - what's on them depends on the monster, but also on random chance and your skill at dissecting corpses (DEX and CL). Innate attacks from appropriate parts are pretty much the only thing that's fully guaranteed.

My original conception for ears was that they would not generate in normal ways at all - the only way you'd get them would be by dissecting the corpse of a wanted monster, and then you could keep the parts that looked good and turn in the ears for your regular reward. I eventually did allow ears to generate normally, and to be replaced like the other body parts, but their only actual function is still the original one, viz. that you can turn in a wanted monster's ears. The only body parts that bounty offices accept as proof of a kill are the head and the ears; and you are always guaranteed to get one of those when you dissect a wanted corpse. If you roll something else, say legs (or nothing at all), you still get the ears as a bonus; so cutting wanted corpses apart is safe, there will always be something left that you can turn in.

I'm quite enjoying Igor's. Still early (< CL 20) so very few bonus parts. But I still like wandering around as a patchwork.
All abilities are revealed right? No need for *Identify* ? |

No need to *identify*, and everything should be displayed now (a few things weren't in early dev versions, but I think I caught those).

Sheep say they are ridable but do not appear to be.
(Actually, now that I type this it seems familiar, may have mentioned this on an earlier version). And just discovered the monster battle in the casino. Good fun, but now I know why I don't gamble in real life, blew all my gold (~50K). It appears there is no summoning in there (and pink horrors don't split into 2 blue on death), any other special rules? |

I would think Unmakers would fall under the same Casino monster arena rules

Some Questions
Some random questions. I play exclusively coffee-break mode if that makes a difference.
Does Lucky personality's benefit of more beneficial mutations apply to Chaos-Warrior mutations? If so, this is a good synergy right? Another question, when playing a Chaos-Warrior, does choosing the Chaos personality do anything? Does a Rogue's backstabbing type attack benefit from the type of weapon, i.e. being much more powerful with a dagger, like it does in DCSS? Any advice on best magic using build to get past early game? I can take melee characters to mid-game (up to CLVL 30-40 usually), but can't get nearly that far with mages. I've tried Amargeddon High Mages, but I hate that they don't have utility spells. What would be the most overpowered build among spell casters for early and mid game? |
