Before I dig into the borg to make some important fixes to amnesia. I just want to clarify something that seems odd.
Amnesia currently causes the player to: 1. Increase the fail rate on spell chances. 2. Forget how to read scrolls. 3. Fail to activate certain types of items. As I am looking at the spells deal, it seems like if the player can't remember how to read a scroll, how is he allowed to read his spellbook to cast a spell? Seems like amnesia would affect either or neither. APWhite |

My attempt: scrolls are throw-away supermarket magiks, while the books are _your_ well-studied books. Plenty of scrolls, but only a few books. Books only available to your class and related classes, scrolls to everybody. You've actively studied every spell, while you've only bought scrolls in bunches.

I think he's posing 'Why is it half-this and half-that?' instead of all or nothing as far as reading is concerned.
The Amnesia-stop and the random crash I get are the only 2 problems I have with the borg atm (other than not having a winner in a long long time) |

If you have a crashing borg, send me the save file. Better yet, use ^zfs to set the auto_save flag and the borg will save his game in the User directory at the beginning of each level. Its easier to track down bugs that way. |
