Damage bonuses that don't provide extra damage?
I am sure there must be some explanation for this, but I don't understand. I downloaded the v4 "beta" last night and started playing it.
I've noticed a whole bunch of weapons that OUGHT to provide more damage against some types of monster, but do not. For example, the weapon may say "slays Orcs" and may suggest there is some damage multiplier like 1.3 or whatever, but when the text tells you what damage you will actually average, there is no difference between the special target and any other target. What's up with that? I did a forum search on slay to see if this was explained anywhere but didn't find an explanation. I have included a screen shot of one example. |

there was another post about this (the one labeled display problem). Seems like it's a problem with the computation used to generate the description text-- the actual damage is correctly computed.

This is correct. The slays work fine, but the info screen is currently buggy.
