Lightbulb Snail Room? & Related Thoughts

I thought this room design was interesting. It reminds me of a snail.

Also it gives me an idea for a new monster set - snails/slugs. They could be added to worm masses. And so this would change the 'w' for worm masses to 'wriggly things', which would include worm masses, snails, slugs.

I would like to see slugs that leave a poison trail wherever they slime along (very slowly). Or maybe they slurrrp along the floor slowly, periodically pooping a sticky slime that traps the player for three turns.

Or maybe they just have a surprisingly aggressive toothy attack:

Wait, I have a better idea. What if they were like mimics? Like they look like food but actually came alive and chased you, slowly. But if they touch you, you are slowed and maybe there's a chance that hitting them with a bladed weapon could cause them to spawn. Saltwater potions and tridents are effective against them. Blunt weapons do avg damage.

Perhaps PDSM could auto-spawn giant slugs nearby.
