Well, the current build has put great wyrms of law and chaos back in, and still has great wyrms of annihilation and sky dragons (which originally replaced them. So everybody wins?

There is also a Great Wyrm of Amnesia, but none of us can remember fighting it and even Nick cannot remember coding it

Cyberdemons are pretty one-note, for that matter: a powerful rocket launcher, lots of HP, and decently high melee damage.

I'm not familiar with Steamband; what were its late levels like?
in variants which have cyberdemons, confusion is a useful status effect.

I think it was introduced by Julian Lighton

Speaking as an official community Old Fart, as I recall the Great Wyrm of Amnesia was...

I think the topic of discussion was: since Nick is reworking the monster list, can we finally put Cyberdemons into Vanilla? (if I'm not mistaken).

It's got a wonderland mode (start on the late levels) if you want to take a quick peek.

I'm not going to be happy till toxic waste breathe (chaos + poison) is added & we can have Great Wyrms of Sewerage.

Mechanical Dragons tunneled, came in groups and had good damage / HP. Also combine with groups of druj-equivalents (immobile shooters) and top it off with groups of cuttenclip soldiers (think uruk-hai with the MULTIPLY flag).
