Nightlies
I have two things to note.
1. I get way too many messages on walkover of items, like 27, 52, 48 or such. Automore is nice, but I liked the previous display more without having it too cluttered to be playable. 2. A BSV dropped a scimitar of slay orc? I'm sure that's not intended. EXTRA: 1/2Troll Ranger + Nimthanc=melee stronger than about five shots with a good longbow. Nothing wrong with that. I just think dlevel 2 is too early. On clevel 9 I killed Ladguf and his escort without any healing. |

The message bug is fixed in staging.
There are some other staging issues that are being ironed out, but I will post here as soon as master is updated and a new nightly build is created. Thanks for reporting the issues! |

EDIT: Do you mean Battle-Scarred Veteran? They can drop ego-items. I have got one of my best early-game egos ever from Battle-scarred Vet (HA +4WIS Dagger with good to dam and to hit playing priest). |

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he meant a veteran.
And theoretically, any item can drop anywhere, with two exceptions: Grond and the Massive Iron Crown. Yes, you could get the One Ring off of a veteran, or a small kobold. The odds against it are...middling-high. ![]() |

Anyway I have never seen any artifact in town, including Phial when it was rarity 1 dlvl 1 item. |

Hm, never heard anything about that, but doesn't mean it's not true. I certainly don't remember ever getting an artifact in town. *shrug*
Still, egos in town are definitely possible and always have been. |

How do you think that 't' lived long enough to become battle scarred but not "dump the screen y/n?"ed, anyway?

Another bug I noticed was lanterns with 1 light radius. At least the description is wrong if not the radius.

Assuming this hasn't changed since I last played Vanilla, light radius for lanterns and torches depends on how much fuel they have left; I think it's if they're under 2000 turns that they go to a radius-1 light.
