The druid had spells? What a bizarre game.

Anyway remove hunger puts you at 50% & rapid regen ends early if you get hungry. e.g. always. So you can cast remove hunger while its in effect, but that's not what you want to be doing if you are in the middle of hitting something. Particularly while shape-changed. This spell was quite fun with pukelman form except for this snag.

I was wrong, you did it in 40K, but the point is still the same - you're clearly much better at this than I am. It will be my best game if I end up with double your turn count!

Pukel-man form has two entries that puzzle me.

RES_POIS[3] | RES_SHARD[1] - why the numbers? Aren't you either resistant or not?

player-flags:ROCK - does this do anything other than the already stated effects in shape.txt?

For resistance, -1 is vulnerable, 1 is resistant, 2 is doubly resistant, 3 is immune - so Pukel-man form is the only way in the game to get poison immunity.

ROCK affects how cuts behave - they don't heal, but they also don't do any HP damage.

That's correct. Mortal Wound, etc, cause no ill effects and just remain as they are until you revert to normal shape, when the hitpoint damage every turn starts again.

As a side note, Mortal Wound is actually a special case because it does not reduce on its own as lower grades of cut do. It requires an actual healing item or spell before you can cure it.

Bear form includes this line:
skill-melee:10

Isn't that the same as +10 to hit in melee? If so, why not just roll that into the combat line?

More like +3 I believe? (skill-melee & +to-hit are on a different scale). The only places I can see where it makes a difference are throwing (which you can't do from the inventory but you can do from the ground) and shield-bashing (which a druid can't do). It does seem a little suspicious that its only on the bear & Beorning warriors do get shield-bash.

Pretty late in the competition for me to be discovering this, but Haste Self at CL25 for only 12 mana is insane, if you can find the book. I feel kinda dumb now for saving up 14 speed consumables!
