YEEK-YEEK-YEEK! (Comp 64)

Alright - so I'm beginning to regret that I didn't submit a savefile of a comp character who had already completed the Yeek Cave. I can clear it fairly quickly... say 15-20 mins, but I've only got about a 60-75% success rate against Boldor & Co. Since I'm still running through a ton of chars testing out the different routes to take, I'm starting to get a little fed up.

The best thing that happens is if he teleports off by himself and I can go take care of him alone, or if he comes out ahead and gets killed in a few rounds. But often he, the master yeeks, and the kamikaze yeeks swarm and multiply and there seems to be no good way to get at him by himself in an expeditious manner. (An aside - kamikaze yeeks should be a different color from brown ones.)

Has anyone uncovered any good strategies for handling the situation?

Do some Orc Cave diving first, until you're strong enough to finish the yeeks quickly or something. Also, s T* ay in his LoS as long as possible, until he teleports himself away.

Well I wouldn't bother with him at all, except for his prize allows vampires to leave Outpost... so you can't get anywhere until you've beaten him, at least as far as I'm aware.

edit: Didn't see this first time around. Thanks for the tip.

Take advantage of Ninja superstealth. You should be able to retreat and heal up easily.

Too bad Superstealth doesn't help against spells, breaths and summons.

I manage to clear the Yeek cave pretty well but then I get kinda stuck and try to do something I shouldn't leading to me getting killed.

The idea was to retreat a room or two to rest up. It's not working as well this time as I remembered it doing the first time, though.

My biggest problem seems to be that after I do the Yeek cave I have nowhere to go. I usually end up lost in the wilderness. One character did manage to find the orc camp but it seemed like I spent an obscenely long time running between the two towns is that normal?

No- you want to press '<' to access the overworld map, and can then travel in an expeditious manner to all the other dungeons. Press 'l'ook to see which dungeons/towns you want to explore.
