Alternately, you can edit your chardump to make your turncount 1 before uploading it to the competition ladder. The first rule of the competition is "please don't be a jerk."

I'm not interested in making these competitions as hypercompetitive and as ungameable as possible; I'd rather that we try odd/zany things that we haven't already done 163 times before. If we really wanted to have a weapons-grade competition ladder, we would basically have to host a game server somewhere. (Maybe PWMAngband???? )

No you can't. It's max xp, not current xp.

What's the max. blindness counter for vanilla? I set of a blindness trap about 100x & now I'm just stumbling around till I accidentally run into things & kill them.

Edit: stumbled over a true sight potion, how convenient.

Just tried to upload my final dump for Bilbo and got the 'character with higher xp already found' message.
Is there anything I can do about that, other than changing the name and marking the previous one as dead?

And by 'final dump', I mean he's dead so I can't go back in and wait until my xp is higher than the previous dump (but I won't ruin the surprise and tell you whether he died on dlvl100 or dlvl0...).

Barg. I'd rather not bug Pav about this, he already does a lot Changing your dude's name and posting would probably be the easiest thing to do.

Well, character dump does not count unless it is posted immediately after winning, a note in character history mention exact turn when big 'P' was killed.
