ToME 2.3.5 question
Sorry to post it here, but this is more angband than the current "ToME"...
Any idea how a vampire character can satisfy hunger by sucking the blood from a nearby monster? Is that vampiric drain when I hit "U" for special abilities? I have a promising beginning character who is weak from hunger and gets burned when exiting Barrow Downs, but have a monster right next to me... Didn't want to kill it with vampiric drain if that didn't help hunger. |

I believe you are right, but it has been a long time for me and I am at work so I can't check! From what I recall, the in game help for ToME was really good, so maybe try ? to be sure.

I'm sorry man, I wish I was at home so I could just load it up and try! You could always make a quick new character in debug mode and experiment, which is what I often do for situations like these. Ctrl+a, I think 'e' is like, experience. Level up a vampire and try it out.

It's the 'U' ability, yeah. You need to chow down on monsters (or townsfolk!) from time to time. It's possible that scrolls of Satisfy Hunger (or the spell Ent Potion) are also valid, which would simplify things significantly.

Yes, using the "U" ability to drain life is how vampires eat. Or just use scrolls of satisfy hunger :-P
