Ideas for new devices

A few things that don't exist but I think should:

* rods/wands of disenchantment (works like the necromancer spell)
* staves of resistance (just like the mage spell)
* rods/wands of *teleport other* (like the standard device but this one beams)
* rods of satisfy hunger
* rods of lycanthropy (transforms you into a werewolf for 25+d10, takes 3,000 turns to regenerate)

Beam teleport other is... very powerful.

Frog being the notable Variant I can name that uses it, and there the more powerful monsters can be teleport resistant or immune changing the dynamic quite a bit. Without something like this these devices have the danger of being very likely too good.

I see no problem with extra dmg spell wand stuff, they are usually limited to certain characters.

Staves of resistance I think would be too much encroaching on a classes niche, but a higher level potion of resistance that gives base4 plus poison temp resistance I could see as something.

I'd say no to beam TO, TO by itself is already strong and for some seems to be used as a crutch that hinders their enjoyment of the game.

Rod of satisfy hunger, heck yeah.

Transform rods, could be, or potions?
