It's probably a feature of phpBB, since I've seen it on other phpBB-powered forums. Presumably antispam protection, though whether this is spam in the traditional sense, in the sense of low-content so-called "s***posts," or both, I have no idea.

Of course if those checks did pass then the monster could be from even deeper.
I can verify that. Just tried this option for fun in PosChengBand. Was quite enjoying popping down, beating up anything I could take on and then legging it back up, after levelling up insanely fast as well.

My hydra monster proved well able to handle quite a lot of monsters from depths at 10-15, for example.

All was going very well indeed.

Until I met an Ancient Black Dragon on Level 1.

I think my record was Mouth of Sauron (L65)... on DL20ish... which is pretty decent.

Just this second, V3.5, dlvl30 ... Great Wyrm of Many Colours! That's 49 levels OOD.

He's standing on top of 'a bronze ring'. If only I had a source of TO...

Well my Sniper recently found a magical statue of A Black Reaver, so once i threw it against the wall on level 1 that's 70 levels out of depth.

Other than that, T.O.M.E. 2.3.5 definately, i still laugh when i remember killing Moldoux, the Defenceless Mold on level 1 in the barrow downs. Can't remember exactly what was summoned, a lot of Great wyrms though.
