List of all Class/Race Flags?

I am attempting to make some changes to existing classes/races, as well as add new classes and races to the p_race/p_class files. Two questions:
1) Is it possible to add new content to those files as is, or do I have to replace an existing entry?
2) Is there any documentation listing all possible class/race Flags in the game? Such as RES_FIRE, CUMBER_GLOVE, etc.?

1. I think you can do either
2. The file list-player-flags.h in the src directory contains all the flags that classes can use. Races can also use those, plus the flags in list-object-flags.h (although some of those won't make sense - particularly ones like INT or SPEED that require a value when applied to objects).

So, basically anything that makes sense and doesn't require PVAL.
