Resistance to darkness.

Description to Phial of Galadriel says "near it darkness can not endure".
Does it give resistance to darkness?
Monsters still blinds me but most of the time I resist.
I want to decide do I need something with darkness resistance or Phial of Galadriel already dives it.
My game version is 3.2.

It doesn't, the quote just means it can be activated to illuminate the room you are in.
Want a proof? peruse artifact.txt and look for the phial; you'll find illumination but no resists.

Blindness and darkness resists are different...it can be given by something you're wearing or be a racial bonus (dwarf...)
