A Symbiant is awesome once you can cast the major spells: unlimited GWoP pets.

The ultimate munchkin is an Alchemist, of course. Effectively infinite hp and armor. You can play them as warriors, but as mages they are more powerful. With a +127 Mage Staff of Wizardry Globe of Light clears out everything in LOS on the level. Manathrust will one-hit Melkor, IIRC.

Unlike Antimagic and Possession, Antimagic and Alchemy are completely compatible. All it takes is starting an Alchemist and getting AM from FF whenever he offers it.

But I could see ignoring the standard dungeon progression. Instead leveling up in the side dungeons to the point where you had a good fighting body like The Watcher or Kronos and then going through the quest dungeons to get AM.

Meleying your way through the Void would still be a bitch even if monsters can't use magic. With no walls and hordes of very fast and awake monsters it would be easy to get mobbed.
