Dumps go into ~/.angband/Angband. Don't ask me why. Just another thing I left alone.

Anyway, probably going to be giving the competition another shot tomorrow or the day after. Not really fond of Paladins personally, much prefer Priests. Gonna try one of those and a Mage after the comp, to see what you've done with spells.

I suppose that refers to pressing "_" when you're not standing on a shop tile.

Well, not only pressing that, but also walking towards a shop and being teleported before you enter it. It parses that similarly, and is far more likely to happen.

That explains why I never saw the bug. I test all jewelry in the dungeon, and doubt I have ever wielded a teleport item in town.

No luck in compiling this. The error was

As you may have guessed, this is on OS X. More precisely,

I would disable the x11 build and just do GCU.

Did you unzip the savefile?

Can you start a new game with no savefile, save, and then load the initial save?
