Ranger: can you actually kill Morgoth with missiles?

Just found this in a game: a Long Bow of Lothlorien (x5) (+24, +30) <+2> (which has ESP... a truly remarkable item).

I was wondering if a Ranger could do enough damage to kill Morgoth by only using this bow and no melee...

With seeker arrows, and/or of slay evil, certainly. I suspect it would not only be possible, but would also be quite a bit quicker than melee ...

With ranger that weapon is heavy artillery compared to usual shooters.

x5 might * 3 shots * (+30 shooter bonus + arrow dice & bonuses) makes a ordinary 3d4 mithril arrow do 562 points of damage / turn. Add in ego-ammo and you have hard time finding a melee-weapon that does the same damage.

You need quite large stack of arrows though, M manastorms destroy most and you don't have much time to collect them back during combat.

This must be the best shooter I have seen in vanilla even including randarts.
