[O110u] Quiver stacking
I'm getting mixed results from trying to stack quivers in O-110u.
Consider a set of 4 {=g, good} daggers. 1. When they're thrown and recovered, then re-quivered, they each take up a separate slot. 2. Sometimes walking over them automatically picks them up and puts them in the quiver, sometimes not. 3. Once in the quiver, sometimes they'll stack, sometimes not. And the question, my friends, is why??? |

I'm not sure why but I've noticed the same behavior. The problem does go away when the items are IDed though so my though is that sometimes the client does not realize the items are the same.

And if I can ask a related question, why, when you walk over an item, does it sometimes pick it up automatically, and sometimes it asks you if you'd like to pick it up?

Yeah, these are all good questions. There are some subtle differences between O and FA pickup which I haven't quite got my head around yet; also FA has simplified stacking which gives extra ID information, so I haven't put that in O.
Thanks to the comp I now have quite a collection of bugs and niggles which I will fix at some point.

I played and tweaked too many variants, so bear with me if I confuse them. But it may be because well-balanced items are automatically put into the quiver, and depending on ID or perhaps even pseudo-ID status, a dagger is known or not known to be well-balanced. Or perhaps it's based on the weaker THROWING flag, if O has it, which every dagger has, but which may need ID, again.
